Jonathan Clarke is an award-winning freelance writer/producer/reporter. A former TV news reporter turned pr/media-marketing consultant, he is a regional Emmy Award winner and five-time Emmy Award nominee. Jonathan specializes in writing, strategic communications and producing television segments and programs, media training and on-camera talent.
Jonathan has going on 30 years of communications experience in broadcasting, production and public relations. He has held on-air reporter positions at several television network affiliates in Southern Illinois; Memphis, Tennessee and in St. Louis, Missouri, where he covered news for KMOV-TV, the CBS network affiliate. As a voice-over artist, his voice is featured in corporate and institutional videos; he was the “voice-of-god” for the 2011 Thurgood Marshall College Fund Gala, and worked as that event’s red carpet co-host.
At Fleishman Hillard International Communications, a leading public relations firm, Jonathan Clarke worked with world class clients including Anheuser Busch, SBC, Honda and Trans World Airlines to name several.
His career highlights include covering the Million Man March in Washington, D.C. and serving as part of a media response team following the crash of a major airliner.
Additionally, Jonathan and his company The Clarke Groupe have managed various governmental communications projects including ones for a state smoking initiative and a disaster awareness campaign for the Missouri Department of Senior Services.
Jonathan also was an announcer/producer for the “Contact” radio program, which through 2005 aired on four hundred radio outlets across the United States and Canada and overseas. He has anchored news and reported for KTRS-AM in St. Louis.
